Roles and Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the firm’s vision and growth objectives.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for clients. Conduct in-depth financial evaluations to support business decisions.

Tax Planning & Compliance:

  • Lead client tax planning strategies while ensuring full compliance with Cambodian tax laws. Stay abreast of changes in regulations and provide actionable insights.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a key advisor to major clients, providing expert guidance on complex accounting and tax matters and ensuring long-term partnership success.

Team Oversight:

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across accounting, tax, compliance, and operations. Promote professional development and maintain high performance standards.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, enhance client service, and increase efficiency across departments.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Ensure strong internal controls, manage operational risk, and maintain compliance with IFRS, CAS, tax law, and regulatory requirements.

Technology & Systems:

  • Leverage digital tools and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, ERP) to drive operational excellence and accurate reporting.

Business Development:

  • Partner with top leadership on strategic growth, service diversification, and client acquisition opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represent the firm in industry events, regulatory discussions, and board-level meetings. Maintain strong relationships with auditors, regulators, and banking partners.

Special Projects & Executive Support:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior management on high-impact initiatives and strategic priorities as needed.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (highly preferred)
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive finance or operations experience, with 4+ years in senior leadership roles
  • In-depth knowledge of Cambodian tax law, IFRS, CAS, and cross-border compliance
  • Proven success in managing multi-functional teams and driving operational improvements
  • Strong background in consulting, professional services, or multi-entity business environments
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk management
  • Proficiency in accounting tools (Xero, QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems)
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English; Khmer language skills are an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior executives and non-financial stakeholders
  • High integrity, professional ethics, and a proactive mindset
