Roles and Responsibilities


Job Summary

  • Responsible for assuring compliance of Quality/Food Safety in operating unit
  • Direct and lead Food Safety/ HACCP program with focus on prevention and control of hygience and food safety risk
  • Acting as the primary quality project manager for Corperate Quality Assurance requirements and regulation are in compliant and measured and controlled.

Duties

  • Responsible for maintaining compliance of local FDA/Food Safety Centre regulatory and Corporate/Group Food Safety regulations.
  • Work with the Unit Organizations Management team to maintain high standard of hygiene and food safety regulations
  • Manage the Company’s Business Continuity Management plan.
  • Develops, implements, and conducts safety training programs in conjunction with the training department. Training programs target all employees and ensures compliance with company new-hire, as needed, and annual refresher requirements. Special focus on Production Department.
  • Ensures compliance with company food safety policies and procedures, and company developed food safety best practices through audits, support departmental managers and participation in meetings
  • Provides guidance, direction, and leadership in developing, maintaining, and improving Units HACCP team to enhance Hygiene/Food Safety awareness among all staff.
  • Executes the required food safety related testing as defined in HACCP plan and maintains the revisions
  • of the HACCP plan.
  • Leads all QA and food/product safety related activities/initiatives.
  • Participates in regulatory agency inspections/audits and develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Reviews changes to company’s Food Safety / HACCP materials and tools (e.g., HACCP Plan/ Food Safety CCPs and SOP,) to ensure that key content is complete and accurate.
  • Monitors safety performance and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Implementation of quality systems and measures its effectiveness by verifying activities, controls and preventative measures.
  • Responsible for maintaining and managing the corrective action system and facilitating corrective action activities with management.
  • Assures the accuracy and compliance of HACCP records as defined in the corporate procedures.
  • Drives implementation of the business management system
  • Ensures all food safety complaints are investigated and documented to determine root causes and assists unit and department management with developing corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence. Communicates required prevention steps by providing Food Safety Alerts, and Shift Briefings to department management.
  • Responsible for the identifying and maintaining of key performance metrics for the Quality organization
  • Continuously improves unit procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for incoming raw materials as well as for finished products and is responsible for the local supplier approval.
  • Provide strategic and practical support on security system design and implementation.
  • Any other business-related tasks that may include cross functional work as per the business requirements.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, quality, technical or business-related field
  • Minimum of 5 years quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference in food manufacturing
  • Auditing experience
  • Proven teamwork experience in fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in development and implementation of quality standard and managing food quality processes
  • HACCP certification/FSMS
  • Local regulatory required certification/Licence
  • ISO 22000 internal auditor is a plus
  • Basin lean, six sigma knowledge and continuous improvement understanding a plus
  • English is a must
  • Multi-lingual is an advantage
